Diamond ‘Dogs To Host Wright State For Pair of Midweek Games

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb baseball team continues its eight game home stand, hosting Wright State for two midweek games on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Gardner-Webb currently sits at 2-6 on the season, dropping each of the three games against Appalachian State this past weekend. 

Mason Fox leads the Diamond 'Dogs with a .375 batting average so far this season with three home runs, one double and four RBI.

Wright State is 3-3 on the year, taking one of three games at No. 4 South Carolina over the weekend. 

Matt Morrow leads the team at the plate with a .348 average, collecting eight base hits with one home run and five RBI thus far.

The Raiders were selected as the preseason Horizon League favorites and are coming off of a stellar 2016 season in which they were victorious in 46 games, taking the Horizon League title for the second straight year.

The first pitch for both Tuesday and Wednesday's games is set for 5:00 pm at John Henry Moss Stadium.
