Women's Golf Finishes 10th At Mercer's Idle Hour Collegiate Championship

MACON, Ga. – Gardner-Webb women's golf finished 10th at the 2016 Idle Hour Collegiate Championship, finishing play on Tuesday afternoon.

The tournament was held on the 6,136-yard (Par 72) Idle Hour Golf & Country Club.

Gardner-Webb (299-314-314-927) matched its second round score on Tuesday to finish one stroke in front of Western Carolina and eight strokes back of Samford. Host Mercer won the event (897) by two strokes over Southern Miss and Toledo.

GWU was paced by Taylor Dodson (76-72-77-225) in a tie for 11th, with Julia Henderson (72-79-75-226) one stroke back in a tie for 15th. Sarah Bertram (73-81-80-234) finished in a tie for 39th, Allison Chandler (78-87-82-247) tied for 63rd and Morgan Laird (88-82-84-254) finished 67th.

Tuesday's finish wrapped up the fall schedule for the Runnin' Bulldogs, who will turn their attention to the spring championship season in 2017.
