ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Keaton Poole (Spindale, N.C.) established a new personal record by more than 40 seconds, while Gabrielle Cortese (Franklin Springs, Ga.) and Jenna Ford (Wasilla, Alaska) posted a pair of top-20 finishes to pace the Gardner-Webb women’s cross country team to a fifth-place performance on Saturday at the Asheville Cross Country Carnival.
CULLOWHEE, N.C. — Christopher Lile (Waynesville, N.C.) finished 12th with a new personal record in the men’s 5k, and Gabrielle Cortese (Franklin Springs, Ga.) placed 16th in the women’s two-mile race with a personal-best of her own to lead Gardner-Webb to a pair of sixth-place showings at the Western Carolina Invitational on Saturday morning.
