Gardner-Webb Athletics Hall of Fame
One of the top power hitters to step into the Gardner-Webb softball batter's box, Christa Fullwood was feared around the Big South Conference and beyond. She was named All-Big South Conference in both 2009 and 2010 and also earned NCCSIA All-State honors twice. Fullwood batted .460 during her 2009 campaign, the second-best mark in school history, and slugged a robust .719 with 100 total bases and 12 doubles. She followed with a .389 batting average in 2010, belting a career-best 10 home runs to go with 38 runs scored, a .675 slugging percentage and 106 total bases. Fullwood was a 2010 NFCA Mid Atlantic All-Region choice at first base following another strong season. She finished her three-year career at Gardner-Webb with a .380 batting average, 31 doubles, 20 home runs and 107 runs batted in. Fullwood continues to rank in the top-5 in Gardner-Webb history in total bases, RBI, doubles and batting average.
