
GAME NOTES: Gardner-Webb To Close Out 2006 Season By Hosting Wofford

BOILING SPRINGS - Gardner-Webb and Wofford will meet for the
20th time in series history on Saturday at 1:30 pm ET, the 13th
time the school's have wrapped up the regular season together.

Gardner-Webb (6-4) has dropped two straight, finishing 2-2 in the
Big South Conference race after losses to No. 25 Charleston
Southern and No.14 Coastal Carolina. The Bulldogs allowed an
average of 577 yards of total offense in those two losses, and will
be facing one of the nation's most potent rushing attacks this
weekend.
Wofford (6-4) has won four straight and played SEC member South
Carolina to a near draw earlier this season in a 27-20 loss. The
Terriers rank among the national leaders in rushing, chewing up
nearly 260 yards on the ground per game.
Kickoff is set for 1:30 pm ET in Spangler Stadium. The game will be
broadcast live on WGWG (88.3 FM).
