Somerset, N.J. - Gardner-Webb senior
Terra Wilson continues to
add to what has already been a great start to the 2006-07 season as
she earned her first NEC Swimmer of the Week honor this year for
her stellar performances in the U.S. Open last weekend.
At the U.S. Open hosted by Purdue University
this past weekend, Wilson placed third-place overall in the 100
meter free turning in a personal best time of 56.96, which
qualifies as an NCAA "A" cut. The Potter Valley, California
native, also finished 11th in the 200 meter free touching the
wall in 2:04.14 and 14th in the 50 meter free with a time
of 26.94.
The weekly conference award is Wilson's fourth
in her career and her first this season. The award is the Lady
Bulldogs second this season, as junior
Heather Roka was named NEC
Swimmer of the Week on November 21.
