Gardner-Webb Women Picked Ninth In A-Sun Cross Country Poll

Gardner-Webb's women's cross country team was picked ninth in
the 2006 preseason Atlantic Sun Conference cross country poll on
Wednesday.
A veteran squad should do better than that at this year's
conference meet - which will be hosted on their home course on
October 28.
Seniors Katherine Warden and Michelle Milner will key a veteran
core of runners for Coach Brian Baker, with both capable of
capturing All-Conference honors in their final campaign.
Belmont, Kennesaw State and North Florida split up the 10
first-place votes, with Belmont picked to finish on top.
GWU opens its season with a split squad schedule on September 1, as
the 'Dogs will travel to Appalachian State and the University of
South Carolina.
