Bulldog Men Finish Second At Clemson Cross Country Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. - Gardner-Webb's men finished second at the 2006
Clemson Cross Country Invitational Saturday, trailing only host
Clemson in the 8,000-meter event.
The Bulldogs finished with 54 points, off the Tigers' winning pace
of 19 points - but 10 points in front of third-place Western
Carolina. South Carolina State (121) and Piedmont (134) rounded out
the field.
Gardner-Webb's Joshua Hudson captured second place individually
with a time of 26:06.5, breaking up a Clemson sweep of the
top-three spots. Lucas McAneney captured sixth position (26:18.7)
for the 'Dogs, while Alex Nimmo (11th, 28:03.4) and Tim Israel
(15th, 28:54.7) also ran in the top-15.
Justin Keziah (19th) rounded out the Bulldog scoring on
Saturday.
The GWU harriers will be back in action on Friday, September 15 at
the Western Carolina Invitational.
