BOILING SPRINGS - Gardner-Webb will open its 2006 home slate on Saturday night, as Tennessee Tech rolls into town for a 6:00 pm ET kickoff in Spangler Stadium.

Tech (0-1) fell in its opener last Thursday, 31-7, to Chattanooga, but has enjoyed an extra two days to prepare for GWU. The 'Dogs won their opener despite nearly unbearable conditions, whipping Jacksonville 49-14, on a Saturday that saw the heat index in Florida reach 109 degrees.
