Palmer Leads Bulldogs to Second Straight Top Five Finish

Savannah, G.A. - Sophomore Blake Palmer turned in a team low round of 70, -2, on Monday and a 74, +2, on Tuesday, to turn in a two-round score of 144, E, to finish in a tie for fourth-place overall and help lead the Bulldogs to a fourth-place team finish at the Spring Invite at Crosswinds GC.
The Bulldogs turned in rounds of 293 and 303 to finish the tournament with a combined score of 596, +20, which placed them fourth out of 11 teams.
Senior Joshua Philbeck finished tied for 13th-place, as he carded rounds of 73 and 75 to finish with a 148, +4 for the event.
Freshmen Immu Korvenmaa and Andrew Rickard also scored for the 'Dogs, as Korvenmaa finished in a tie for 30th with a score of 152, +8, while Rickard finished only one stroke back with a 159, +9, and tied for 32nd.
Sophomore Ryan Bell joined Rickard and three other players in a tie for 32nd-place as he carded rounds of 75 and 78 to finish with a 159, +9 for the tournament.
The Bulldogs will return to the links on March 28, when they will compete in the Mimosa University Cup hosted by Appalachian State University.
