GWU Career Saves Leader Signs Professional Contract

Boiling Springs, N.C. - Gardner-Webb's All-Time Career Saves leader in men's soccer history, Tyler Kettering, is back maning the goal but this time for the Wilmington Hammerheads, a professional team that is a member of the USL Second Division league.
In his four year career at GWU Kettering posted 446 saves, becoming the All-Time Career Saves leader in both GWU and Atlantic Sun Conference history. Kettering played in a total of 73 games during his stint at Gardner-Webb and led the nation in saves in both 2006 and in 2004.
"We are excited for Tyler as he continues his career with the Hammerheads," said Gardner-Webb head coach Tony Setzer. "We look forward to seeing what strides and advances he will make at the next level."
The Hammerheads have played two exhibition games thus far this season and will open up their regular season play at home on April 21.
