
Lady Netter's Laura Kriett Earns A-Sun Honors

MACON, GA Gardner-Webb freshman Laura Kriett received All-Atlantic Sun Conference honors this week, as she was named to the First Team All-Atlantic Sun and the All-Freshmen Team.
In her first year at Gardner-Webb the Bad Segeberg, Germany native played all season for the Lady Bulldogs at the No. 1 singles position. She would prove to be very valuable as she competed in all 21 matches for the Lady Bulldogs this season.
Kriett finished the regular season in fifth-place overall in the A-Sun conference at the No. 1 singles position with a .579 winning percentage. Kriett went 11-8 on the season in singles play at the No. 1 spot and 6-3 in conference play.
Midway through the season, Kriett put together a stretch in which she won four straight matches at the No. 1 singles spot.
Gardner-Webb women's tennis team finished the regular season with a record of 8-13 and 3-6 in A-Sun play.
The Lady Bulldogs earned a No. 6 seed in the 2007 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship tournament and will play the No. 3 seeded Stetson Hatters this Friday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at Milligan College in Johnson City, Tenn.
