MacArthur Places Seventh At Auburn Invitational
April 20, 2007 | Track & Field
AUBURN, Ala. Senior Cody MacArthur was the lone Gardner-Webb student-athlete to compete on the first day of the Auburn Invitational, as the only events scheduled were the men's and women's hammer throw.
MacArthur was just short of his school-record and personal-best throw that he posted last weekend at the Solid Orange Classic, which was hosted by Clemson.
MacArthur's mark of 51.88m (170'2") earned him a seventh-place finish. The effort was about a three feet short of his 173'11" performance last weekend.
MacArthur and the rest of the Bulldogs return to action tomorrow on the final day of the Auburn Invitational in hopes of reaching the qualifying standards for the East Regional Championships.
