
Gardner-Webb 12th Nationally For Team GPA

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. A week after Elizabeth Maxwell was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, the Gardner-Webb women's track program was recognized as one of 97 Division I teams to garner a 3.0 GPA or higher.
The Bulldogs finished with the 12th-highest team GPA in the country. Head coach Brian Baker's squad had a cumulative GPA of 3.385.
GWU was the highest-rated A-Sun team on the list. The next conference affiliate on the list was Jacksonville at 93, which sported a 3.046 GPA.
The Arizona State Sun Devils were named the USTFCCCA Women's All-Academic Team of the Year. The selection of the All-Academic Indoor and Outdoor Team's of the Year award is based on a combination of athletic and academic achievements. The top honor goes to the team that has the best finish at the Division I Indoor and/or Outdoor National Championships and that also holds the highest cumulative GPA.
