
Feagin Garners Atlantic Sun Conference Honor

MACON, Ga. Sophomore setter Regina Feagin was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week on Monday, as announced by the league office.
Feagin led Gardner-Webb to a 4-0 week, pushing its record to 6-5 on the season. It marks the first time since becoming a full-fledged Division I member that the Bulldogs have been above .500 this late in the year.
Feagin dished out 169 assists on the week, averaging 12.07 per game. She also posted a .406 attack percentage, tallying 15 kills on 32 total attempts. Feagin not only sliced through opposing defenses with her timely shots for kills, but also sent opposing teams scrambling as she totaled six aces. She notched 2.07 digs per game.
Playing against Davidson Saturday evening in the championship of the Runnin' Bulldog Classic, Feagin had 52 assists and seven digs to go along with five kills and a block assist in GWU's first-ever win over the Wildcats. For her effort, she was named MVP of the tournament.
The Bulldogs vie for another win tomorrow night when they travel
to Western Carolina for a 7 p.m. contest.
