
Bulldogs To Hold Third Annual Wrestling Clinic

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. The Gardner-Webb wrestling staff will host the third annual wrestling clinic for junior high and high school athletes in the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center Oct. 13.
The clinic's coaching staff includes Gardner-Webb head wrestling coach Scott Shipman, graduate assistant Daniel Elliott and director of wrestling operations Richard Wince.
The clinic will include two technique sessions. At the conclusion of the afternoon session, an optional live wrestling session will commence. In addition to the instruction by the Gardner-Webb wrestling staff, everyone will be allowed to view Gardner-Webb's open practice following the optional live wrestling session.
From 9 a.m.-11 a.m., the first technique session will take place in Paul Porter Arena. From 11-11:50 a.m., head strength and conditioning coach Tracy Sibley will speak with the wrestlers followed by lunch from 12 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
At 1:30 p.m., the second technique session will begin. It will last until 2:30 p.m. After the technique session commences, the clinic will move directly to the optional live wrestling from 2:30-3 p.m. Then, GWU's open practice will run from 3-4:30 p.m.
Everyone in attendance will also receive a clinic t-shirt.
Individuals registering for the clinic before Oct. 3, it will cost $50. After Oct. 3, the price is $55. The team price (eight or more) is $45 per wrestler. Coaches' registration is $20 while a team coach is free.
