FB GAME NOTES: Gardner-Webb Prepares For Tough Home Battle With Austin Peay

BOILING SPRINGS - Gardner-Webb will host one of the Ohio Valley Conference's hottest teams on Saturday night, when Austin Peay (3-1, 1-1 OVC) rolls into Spangler Stadium for a 6 pm ET contest.
Game notes are now available online. Gardner-Webb (1-2) has dropped both its road games this season - both to FBS foes - and is coming off a 31-15 loss at Mississippi State. Austin Peay is fresh of a Homecoming win over defending OVC champion UT-Martin, toughing out a 17-14 win over the Skyhawks last week.
Austin Peay, under first year head coach Rick Christophel, features one of the nation's top running backs in senior Chris Fletcher (5-10, 200). Fletcher has posted 10 consecutive 100-yard games, and has 24 100-yard games during his career in Clarksville, Tenn.
