
Bulldogs Finish 14th At Lady Pirate Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, N.C. The Gardner-Webb women's golf program tallied a 14th-place finish at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, which wrapped up late Monday.
As a team, GWU combined to shoot a three-round 940. The Bulldogs
posted a third-round 317 after opening with a 314 and shooting a
309 in the second round.
Leading the way for the Bulldogs was sophomore Courtney Meyer. The
former A-Sun all-freshman team selection shot a three-round score
of 230 after posting a 77 over the final 18 holes, tying her for
23rd.
Dana Prozeller was second in the tough field, just two strokes
behind Meyer. Prozeller tied for 32nd after shooting a
final-round 77.
Katie Garahan posted a 79 over the final 18 holes for a 239, which
was good enough for 62nd place. Two strokes behind her
was Mackenzie Renner, who tallied a final round score of 86. Renner
tied for 67th.
Garcia improved each round, and the final 18 holes was no different. Garcia notched an 84, tying for 95th. She posted a 262 for the tournament.
The match ends the Bulldogs' fall season. GWU opens its spring season Feb. 22-24 at the College of Charleston's Kiawah Island Spring Invitational.
