
Bulldog Women Place Fourth At Stono Cup

CHARLESTON, S.C. Sophomore Courtney Meyer continued her hot play of late, helping the Gardner-Webb women's golf team place fourth at the Stono Cup.
The Bulldogs notched a three-round score of 958 for fourth place while the host institution, the College of Charleston, won the tournament by posting a three-round tally of 914. James Madison was second, Wofford was third and Tennessee Tech rounded out the top five.
Meyer posted a final round 78 for her three-round score of 229, landing her in fifth place.
Dana Prozeller recorded a 20th-place performance after shooting a closing-round 80 for a 242. Prozeller also scored an 80 over the first 18 holes of the tournament.
Katie Garahan was just three strokes back of Prozeller, rendering her in a tie for 22nd. Garahan shot a final round 87 at the par-72, 5,979 yard course. She ended with a three-round score of 245.
Mackenzie Renner tied for 26th after shooting a third-round 92. Renner shot a 247 over the 54-hole tournament.
Yayoi Garcia shot a final round 87 to close with a 266. Her score was good enough for 38th place at the event.
The Bulldogs have a few days off before heading to the Lady
Pirate Intercollegiate Oct. 19-21 in Greenville, N.C.
