
GAME NOTES: Gardner-Webb Travels To Take On Red-Hot Georgia Tech

ATLANTA Gardner-Webb will do battle with its first
Atlantic Coast Conference foe on the gridiron Saturday, batting a
strong Georgia Tech squad at 3:30 pm ET in Bobby Dodd Stadium.
The Runnin' Bulldogs (2-3) will be taking on their third Division I
Bowl Subdivision foe in the past two seasons, after batting at Ohio
(MAC) and Mississippi State (SEC) in 2007.
Georgia Tech (4-1) is coming off a 27-0 whitewash of Duke, and are
averaging nearly 295 yards per game on the ground in head coach
Paul Johnson's spread option offense.
GWU dropped a frustrating 13-10 decision at Charleston Southern
last Saturday, a game that saw the 'Dogs dominate the Bucs to the
tune of 471 yards and 23 first downs offensively - while allowing
just 203 yards and no scoring drive longer than 31 yards on
defense.
