
Gardner-Webb Falls Short At South Carolina, 85-70, Tuesday Night

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Gardner-Webb got 19 points from Grayson
Flittner and 17 from sophomore Jonathan Moore, but could not
overcome a cold shooting night in an 85-70 loss at South
Carolina.
Devan Downey scored a season-high 25 points to lead the
Gamecocks (4-0), including 20 in the second half.
Gardner-Webb (0-4) had lost its three previous games by a
combined eight points, including an 80-76 setback at Oklahoma on
Saturday. Aaron Linn added 11 points for the Runnin' Bulldogs on
Saturday.
Gardner-Webb will play its first home game on Saturday, Nov. 29,
hosting UVA-Wise at 7 pm in Paul Porter Arena.
