
Women's Tennis Hosts Georgia Southern this Saturday

The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team will host the Georgia
Southern Eagles this Saturday, February 23 at 12 p.m.
Scouting Georgia Southern: The Eagles will enter Saturday's match
with a 2-3 mark on the season...The Eagles dropped their first
three matches of the season, but have rebounded to win their last
two; both victories coming at a 7-0 margin against Atlantic Sun
teams Kennesaw St. and Mercer...Georgia Southern is 2-1 against the
A-Sun so far, its only loss coming to Jacksonville 3-4...The Eagles
No. 1 and No.2 singles players both have 4-1 records coming into
Saturday's match.
Gardner-Webb: The Lady Bulldogs have had a rough first part of the
2008 season...Gardner-Webb is currently 1-2 against SoCon opponents
this season, with losses to Davidson and Wofford...The Ladies did
defeat their last SoCon opponent (App. St.) 5-2 for their first win
of the season...Gardner-Webb has winning records at the No. 1, 2,
and 5 spots in singles, but all three of their doubles spots have
losing ones.
