
Porter Drops First Round Match

ST. LOUIS, MO. - Redshirt-sophomore Dustin Porter dropped his opening round match at the NCAA Championships to Oregon State's Kyle Bressler by a 3-1 score in overtime.
Neither scored during the first period and Porter was on top to start the second period. Bressler was able to get an escape, giving him an early 1-0 lead.
In the final stanza with the score the same, Porter escaped from Bressler's hold to knot the score at 1-1. Neither scored the rest of regulation.
In the sudden victory overtime period, Porter attempted a move and Bressler countered with a spin, earning two points for the 3-1 vicotry.
Porter will now be in the consolation bracket tonight when he takes
on Lock Haven's Ben Hepburn, who Porter defeated earlier in the
season.
