Pair of Bulldogs Receive All-Conference Honors

Sophomore Evgeny Slesarev and Freshman Andrew Veeder received the distinct privilege of All-Conference status on Thursday, April 17. Slesarev received First Team All-Atlantic Sun honors, while Veeder was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman Team.
This marks the second straight time Slesarev has received First Team All-Conference honors, as he won it his freshman season too. Slesarev compiled an unheard-of 15 wins at the No. 1 slot this season and only dropped one match in conference play.
Freshman Andrew Veeder is well deserving of making the All-Freshman squad. Veeder has played well at the No. 2 slot all season and has turned a few heads with his powerful game.
The Gardner-Webb men's tennis team looks to have a bright future with young stars like Slesarev and Veeder leading them.
