Lady Bulldogs Fall in First Round of A-Sun Championships

The No. 3 Stetson Hatters made it three straight 4-0 victories for the higher seeds, as they dispatched sixth-seeded Gardner-Webb in the first round of the A-Sun Championships. The Lady Bulldogs dropped the doubles point and three straight singles matches in the 0-4 defeat.
The Hatters took the doubles point after a pair of wins in doubles competition 8-4 and 8-1 respectively.
In singles, the Hatters scored two 6-1, 6-1 victories and a 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 6 six slot to wrap up the match.
This
match marks the last for the Lady Bulldogs in A-Sun conference play
as Gardner-Webb will be moving to the Big South Conference next
season.
