
Gardner-Webb Finishes Fifth At A-Sun Championship; Rickard Earns All-Tournament Team Honors

The Bulldogs finished 41-over par while the University of North Florida won its first-ever A-Sun Championship, dethroning ETSU by a stroke. The Ospreys posted a score of 866, 14-over par, while ETSU shot an 867, 15-over par. Kennesaw State and Campbell tied for third, shooting identical 879's, 27-over par.
Leading the way for the Bulldogs was fifth-place finisher and all-tournament team selection Andrew Rickard. Rickard shot a low-round of 71 for GWU, which was even par over the last 18 holes. He finished three-over par, 216.
Joshua Philbeck's 221 was eight-over par, as he tied for 14th. Blake Palmer, the first-round leader, ended the championship nine-over par. After shooting a 65-77 through the first two rounds, he played the last 18 with an 80, finishing at 222.
Immu Korvenmaa recorded a 21-over par, 234, to tie for 39th. Geordie Hagerman posted identical scores of 82 over the final 36 holes, amassing a 244 for the tournament. Hagerman tied for 48th after shooting 31-over par.
