Langley Earns All-Region Accolades

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Senior Jerel Langley picked up one last honor after the completion of his stellar track and field career at Gardner-Webb University, as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Langley, who recorded a top throw of 64.24m (210'9") at the NCAA East Region meet last weekend on the campus of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla., earned an eighth-place showing for his effort.
His eighth-place finish earned Langley all-region accolades, as the honor goes out to the top eight student-athletes from each region in every event.
Langley holds the school record in the javelin with a mark of
218'10", which he set at the NCAA East Region meet in 2007. Langley
concludes his career having been a four-time A-Sun all-conference
selection.
