
Meyer Earns Big South Honor

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Sophomore Courtney Meyer was tabbed the Big South co-women's golfer of the week honors as announced by the league office Friday morning.
Meyer and Olivia Jordan-Higgins (Charleston Southern) were each honored after the duo tied for sixth at the Draper Valley Intercollegiate Sept. 8-9.
Meyer recorded a two-day total of 146 (73-73) to earn her first career top-10 finish. Her performance was the best on GWU's squad at the 36-hole event and was just two strokes back of the medalist. Dating back to last season, Meyer has been the Bulldogs' top finisher in each of the last three competitions, including the A-Sun Championships where she notched all-freshman team honors a season ago.
Meyer and the rest of the GWU team get back to action Sept.
15-16 when they compete at the Great Smokies Women's
Intercollegiate hosted by Western Carolina.
