
Gardner-Webb 10th After Second Day Of Sea Trail Intercollegiate

SUNSET BEACH, N.C. After two days of golf, the Gardner-Webb women's squad is in 10th place amongst the 17 teams participating in the Sea Trail Intercollegiate.
The Bulldogs improved by four shots from the opening day, firing a
317 compared to a 321 Friday evening. ETSU took the lead after
shooting a 298 and the Lady Bucs are four strokes ahead of the host
Elon Phoenix. Big South foe Radford stands in 14th
position with a two-day total of 648 compared to 638 for GWU.
The Red and Black is currently 62 over par for the tournament.
Leading the way for the Bulldogs is Yayoi Garcia, who fired a
second-round 77 after an opening-round 79. She totaled a two-day
effort of 156 and is tied for 18th.
Sophomore Courtney Meyer is currently 13-over par. She opened the
second round with a 78. Meyer had a 79 in the first round. She is
currently tied for 24th.
Mackenzie Renner is 19-over par and has shot a two-day total of
163. After an opening-round 82, Renner rounded up the second 18
holes with an 81. Renner is tied for 56th along with
Dana Prozeller. Prozeller shot a second-round 82.
Katie Garahan posted a better second round, firing an 81 after a first-round 85. She is jus three strokes behind Renner and Prozeller, but is currently tied for 69th after the second day of competition.
The Bulldogs return to the links tomorrow for the final round of
play of the Sea Trail Intercollegiate.
