
Bulldogs Take 10th At Sea Trail Women's Intercollegiate

SUNSET BEACH, N.C. The Gardner-Webb women's golf program recorded its best round Sunday afternoon, helping the squad maintain its position at the Sea Trail Women's Intercollegiate.
The Bulldogs finished 10th after shooting a three-round
total of 948. ETSU won the event with a score of 905. GWU finished
ahead of nearby USC Upstate as well as Big South foe Radford, who
finished 11th and 14th, respectively.
Leading the way was Courtney Meyer and Yayoi Garcia, who each tied
for 36th. The duo shot identical 237's. Meyer posted an
80 on the final round while Garcia notched an 81 on the par 72
course.
Mackenzie Renner and Dana Prozeller each posted scores of 240,
tying for 55th. Renner's scorecard was 82-81-77 while
Prozeller's was 81-82-77 for their respective finishes.
Katie Garah, who tied for 58th, was just two shots
behind Renner and Prozeller with a 242. After shooting an 85-81
over the first two rounds, Garahan played the final 18 holes four
shots over par. Her 76 was GWU's top round of the tournament.
The Bulldogs return to action Oct. 6-7 when they participate in the
Cuthbert Cup, which is hosted by the College of Charleston.
