Immu Korvenmaa Nabs Big South Weekly Honor

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb junior Immu Korvenmaa has been selected as the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Golfer of the Week, as announced Friday morning by the league office.
Korvenmaa, a native of Helsinki, Finland, posted a three-over par 216 (70-73-73) at the par-71, 6,704-yard course last weekend at the Wolverine Intercollegiate. He tied for 31st out of 90 golfers in the event after finishing just three strokes out of the top 16. Korvenmaa guided the Bulldogs to a 14th-place finish in the season-opening tournament.
Korvenmaa and the rest of the Bulldogs' squad return to action
Oct. 6-7 when they compete at the Cuthbert Cup in Charleston,
S.C.
