Bulldogs Head to Sunshine State

The Gardner-Webb men's soccer team heads to Jacksonville,
Florida for its first road test of the 2008 season. Awaiting the
Bulldogs in Jacksonville is a pair of old conference foes, the
Jacksonville Dolphins and the Ospreys of North Florida.
The Bulldogs dropped both matches against these teams last season.
Jacksonville beat the Bulldogs 2-1 on a late penalty kick from the
A-Sun Player of the Year Anton Axelsson, and North Florida pulled
out a 1-0 victory two days later despite 17 shots from GWU.
This year the Bulldogs are coming off two home losses to two other
old conference foes, Belmont and Lipscomb. Now, Coach Setzer's team
will look to pick things up on the road to try and get to .500 for
the season.
