#42 Wake Forest Too Much for Gardner-Webb

The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team fell, 7-0, to the #42 ranked Demon Deacons of Wake Forest Saturday afternoon at the Deacons' indoor tennis facility. The match was the season opener for the Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady ‘Dogs weren't able to get much going against the Deacons as Wake Forest managed to sweep both the doubles and singles events.
Junior Laura Kreitt had the toughest job on the day as she tried to knock off the 50th ranked Sasha Kulikova at the #1 singles spot. Kreitt gave it a good run, but Kulikova brought her A game and defeated Kreitt in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.
The Bulldogs' next matchup doesn't seem to get any easier as they travel to Chapel Hill to take on the 18th ranked Tar Hills on January 24.
