Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb men's soccer team will attempt to stop its current two-match slide this Tuesday night, as the Bulldogs will play host to the Liberty Flames at 7 p.m. at Greene-Harbison Field.
The Bulldogs (6-5-1, 2-3-1 Big South) have lost its last two
conference matches and will look to get back on the winning track
this Tuesday night against the Flames.
Gardner-Webb has struggled against Liberty in the past, as the
Bulldogs are 1-8-1 all-time versus the Flames. Last season,
Liberty defeated the Bulldogs 3-0 in the two teams' first Big South
Conference meeting.
The Bulldogs only win over the Flames came back in 2003, as
Gardner-Webb scored four goals to pick up the 4-1 win over Liberty
in Lynchburg, Va.
Liberty is 6-2-3 on the season and 1-0-2 in conference play thus
far this season. The Flames are coming off a 1-0 win over
Presbyterian College last Friday night.
The match is slated to be video streamed over the Big South
Network, which can be accessed by going to: www.bigsouthsports.com.
