No. 16 To Be Retired At Greene-Harbison Field on Saturday Night
October 30, 2009 | Men's Soccer
Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb men's soccer program will hold a special presentation during halftime of Saturday night's non-conference match against Appalachian State, as the No. 16 will be retired in remembrance of a fallen Bulldog in Jordan Traylor.
Traylor, who played for Gardner-Webb from 2003-2007, died
unexpectedly in December 2008. The Mt. Holly native was known for
being a quality person both on and off the field during his time at
Gardner-Webb University.
In 2007, Jordan graduated from Gardner-Webb with a Bachelor's
degree in Business Administration and continued his education where
he pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration with an
emphasis in Health Care Administration.
"Jordan embodied what we want a men's soccer player to be," stated
Head Coach Tony Setzer. "Jordan was loyal, hard-working, committed
and just a quality student-athlete and person. He was, is and will
be held in high esteem throughout the Gardner-Webb University
community."
Jordan Traylor will always be a Bulldog.
