
Gardner-Webb Men's Tennis Has Four Freshman Participate in GWU Fall Invitational This Past Weekend

BOILING SPRINGS, NC- The Gardner-Webb men's tennis team hosted the GWU Fall Invitational this past weekend at the Webb Tennis Complex, in which four freshmen for Coach Mike Griffith competed in.
Freshmen Jeremie Tardif, Matthew Parker, Matthew Herrock and William Kenny took on members of tennis squads from Wofford, Presbyterian, and Lees-McRae in both singles and doubles matches throughout the two-day event.
Highlights for the GWU men's team consist of the team of Tardif and Herrock defeating the team of Stuart Robertson and Elliott Farmer from Wofford (8-4), the team of Tardif and Parker defeating Ivan Ho and James Zaher from Presbyterian (8-2), and Matt Herrock defeating Graham Battle of Lees-McRae in singes action (6-1, 3-6, 10-8).
The Bulldogs will return to action this weekend as they travel to Davidson to participate in the Davidson Tournament from Oct.9th-10th.
