Gardner-Webb Men's Swimming Defeats VMI 286-102 To Kick Off 2009-10 Season

LEXINGTON, VA- This past Saturday, the Gardner-Webb Men's Swimming team kicked off its 2009-10 season with a meet at VMI, and left Lexington, Va. with a 286-102 victory.
The Bulldogs dominated the meet, being victorious in every relay. Leading the way for the Bulldogs were sophomore Collin Burchins and freshman Mitchell Turner, who were victorious in the four relays they participated in. Senior Adam Middleton, sophomore Samuel Woods and freshman DJ Hughes were victorious in three relays, and juniors Adam Suggs and Abram Miller, as well as freshmen Seth Carter and Tyler Revels were victorious in two relays.
The Gardner-Webb men's swim team will return to action on October 16th as they host East Carolina in what will be a joint meet between the men's and women's swim teams. This will be the first meet of the season for the Gardner-Webb women's swim team. The meet will take place at Gardner-Webb University.
