
Bulldogs Wrap Up 2009 Regular Season At USC Upstate On Wednesday Night

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb men's soccer will wrap up its 2009 regular season on Wednesday night, as the Bulldogs will travel down to Spartanburg, S.C. to take on the Spartans of USC Upstate at 7 p.m.
Gardner-Webb (8-6-1, 4-3-1 Big South) is coming off a 4-2 loss to Appalachian State on Wednesday night.
The Bulldogs are 1-4-1 all-time versus the Spartans of USC Upstate
with the lone Bulldog win coming back in the two teams' last
meeting in 2008, a 3-0 GWU victory.
In the Bulldogs 3-0 win last season, Gardner-Webb's Adam Augruso
had two goals in the match, including the game-winning goal.
USC Upstate is 5-9-2 overall this season and 2-4-1 at home, while
Gardner-Webb is 8-5-1 overall and 3-3 in true road matches this
season.
Both teams are coming off home losses, as GWU fell to Appalachian
State 4-2 on Saturday night, while Lipscomb defeated USC Upstate
2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
