GWU to Travel to PC on Tuesday Night; Host Winthrop on Senior Night Friday Night and Coastal Carolina On Saturday Afternoon

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb volleyball team will look to stop its current four-match skid this week, as the Lady Bulldogs will wrap up its 2009 regular season schedule with three matches this week.
The Lady Bulldogs (11-19, 3-10 Big South) will hit the road on
Tuesday night, as Gardner-Webb will travel to Clinton, S.C. to take
on Presbyterian College at 7 p.m.
GWU is 4-1 all-time versus Presbyterian College since moving to
NCAA Division I in 2000-01. However, the lone loss to the Lady
Blue Hose came earlier this season, as PC defeated the Lady
Bulldogs 3-1 in Boiling Springs, N.C. on September 29th.
Gardner-Webb will then return home for its final two regular season
matches, as the Lady Bulldogs will host Winthrop on Friday night at
6 p.m., which will serve as Senior Night for the three 2009 seniors
- Jessica Clayton, Regina Feagin and Brett Wilson.
The Lady Bulldogs are 1-11 against Winthrop since 2001, with the
lone win coming last season, a 3-2 win at home versus the Lady
Eagles.
Gardner-Webb will like to have a repeat performance from last year's home match against Winthrop, as it will be Senior Night for the Lady Bulldogs on Friday night.
The Lady Bulldogs regular season finale will come at home against
the Lady Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina at 2 p.m. on Saturday,
November 14th in Paul Porter Arena.
Gardner-Webb is 0-4 against the Lady Chanticleers, including a
close 3-2 loss at Coastal Carolina this season back on October
16th. In that match, GWU battled back from a 2-0 deficit to knot
the match up at 2-2 and force a fifth and decisive set, which the
Lady Chanticleers won 15-13.
Both Tuesday and Friday night's matches are slated to be video
streamed over the Big South Network and can be viewed by going to
