Gardner-Webb Women's Soccer Receives NSCAA Team Academic Award

BOILING SPRINGS, NC- The Gardner-Webb women's soccer team was recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for its work in the classroom as the NSCAA awarded the team with a NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2008-09 academic year.
A total of 330 programs were recognized with a NSCAA Team Academic Award.
In order to be nominated, the team must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2008-09 academic year.
The Lady Bulldogs recently concluded its 2009 season, finishing with a record of 12-9-0, improving on 2008's win total by seven games. Sophomore Megan Reimer led the team offensively, scoring nine goals, while freshman Samantha Rupert had a remarkable season in goal, recording seven shutouts with a goals allowed average of 1.10.
