
GWU Women's Basketball Receives Votes in Latest USA Today/ESPN Coaches Top-25 Poll

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb women's basketball team is off to a great start this season at 8-1, which has been recognized as the Lady Bulldogs received five votes in the latest USA Today/ESPN Coaches Top-25 college basketball coaches poll released today.
This marks the first time that the Gardner-Webb women's basketball
program has received votes in a national poll.
Gardner-Webb is off to its best start since moving to NCAA Division
I in 2000-01, as the Lady Bulldogs are 8-1 this season and are
currently on an eight game winning streak, the longest in its
Division I history.
The Lady Bulldogs next contest, however, will be perhaps its
toughest contest this season, as Gardner-Webb will travel to Chapel
Hill, N.C. to take on the No. 11 North Carolina Tar Heels on
Sunday, December 13th, at 3 p.m.
