GWU Women's Cross Country Team Receives USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

New Orleans – The Gardner-Webb women's cross country team received recognition for their hard work and dedication in the classroom on Thursday, March 5, as the Bulldogs was honored as a 2008 NCAA Division I All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Bulldogs, who posted a 3.40 grade point average, were one of
160 NCAA Division I schools to be named as a USTFCCCA All-Academic
Team.
Gardner-Webb was one of only four Big South members, along with
Coastal Carolina, High Point and Liberty to receive the honor.
For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team
award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA
Regional Meet. The team must also have a minimum 3.00 team
cumulative grade point average.
