
GWU Women's Track and Field Named USTFCCA All-Academic Team

New Orleans, La. - The Gardner-Webb women's track and field team, along with senior student-athlete Kelly Bridges, were both awarded for their work in the classroom this year, as the Lady Bulldogs were recognized as a 2009 Division I All-Academic Track and Field Team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
A total of 131 Division I programs were recognized as women's 2009
All-Academic Teams.
The Lady Bulldogs posted a cumulative team grade point average of
3.325 for the year.
To be nominated, the team must carry a minimum 3.000 cumulative
grade-point average.
Bridges, who graduated in May, was named to the 2009 USTFCCCA
Division I Women's All-Academic Track and Field Team.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the
student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average
of 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic or
provisional qualifying standard or the NCAA Division I Outdoor
regional or national qualifying standard in their respective
event.

GWU's Steinke and Hutschalik Receive Academic
Recognition
New Orleans, La. -Gardner-Webb Track and Field members Paul Steinke
and Christoph Hutschalik were both named to the 2009 Division I
All-Academic Track and Field Team by the U.S. Track and Field and
Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the
student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average
