SCHEDULE
The Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs volleyball team will look to end
its season on a high note, as GWU heads to Rock Hill, S.C. to
compete in the 2010 Big South Volleyball Championship Tournament on
November 18-20. GWU will be the No. 8 seed and will play the No. 1
seeded Liberty Lady Flames at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 18th, in
the first round of the conference postseason tournament.

GWU HOPING THAT THE THIRD TIME IS A CHARM
The Runnin' Bulldogs will be hoping that the third time is a charm,
as Thursday afternoon's first round match will be against the No. 1
seeded Liberty Lady Flames. It is the third straight year in which
GWU has played Liberty in the first round of the Big South
Championship tournament, having fallen in each of the last two
seasons. The first round match up will also be the third meeting
between these two teams this year.
LOOKING TO END THE SEASON ON A HIGH NOTE
GWU is looking to end its 2010 season on a high note and what
better way to do it then picking up a win and making a run through
the 2010 Big South Volleyball Championship this week in Rock Hill,
S.C. Gardner-Webb is the No. 8 seed and will play the No. 1 seeded
Liberty Lady Flames to in the first round on Thursday, November
18th at 5 p.m.
STREAKING ... IN THE WRONG DIRECTION
The Runnin' Bulldogs will look to end its current losing streak, as
GWU is in the midst of a 10-match skid. Gardner-Webb's current 10
game losing streak ties its longest losing streak of the season.
GWU last won back on October 12th, picking up a 3-0 win over N.C.
A&T. That win snapped the Runnin' Bulldogs previous losing
streak at 10 matches.
COCKRELL ON THE BRINK OF MAKING HISTORY
Gardner-Webb freshman Tyler Cockrell is on the verge of making
history, as the middle blocker is only three total blocks away from
setting a new GWU volleyball record for the most total blocks in a
single season. Cockrell, who has tallied 104 total blocks this
season, is trying to chase down Theresa Harrison who holds the
record with 106 total blocks back in the 2000 season. Cockrell
already surpassed Harrison in the most block assists in one season
with 68 thus far this year.
