
Three Runnin' Bulldogs Earn Big South Conference Women's Soccer Postseason Awards

RADFORD, Va. - Three different members of the Gardner-Webb women's soccer team earned postseason honors, as announced by the Big South Conference Wednesday afternoon. Junior Chelsea Hearne was named Second-Team All-Conference, Meagan Reynolds was named to the All-Freshman team, and junior Megan Tremblay was named to the All-Academic team.
Hearne, a goalkeeper from Tampa, Fla., ranks in the top five in the Big South among all keepers in goals against average of 1.15, save percentage 0.802 in 19 games this season. She recored seven shutouts throughout the season, which ranks second in the Big South. Hearne was also a recipient of the Big South Defensive Player of the Week honors on August 31st.
Reynolds, a forward from Kings Mountain, N.C., has scored three goals and recorded two assists throughout the season, leading all freshmen on the team. She is also tied for the team lead in game-winning goals with two, scoring the winners against USC Upstate and Chattanooga.
Tremblay, a midfielder from Jacksonville, Fla., has two goals and one assist this season. Her play in the midfield led the Runnin' Bulldogs to a 3-1-2 record in its last six matches, and her work in the classroom as been stellar, as she has a 3.94 cumulative GPA with a double major in Economics and Finance.

Gardner-Webb begins play in the 2010 Big South Women's Soccer Championship presented by Musco Sports Lighting Thursday evening as the #7 Runnin' Bulldogs face #2 Radford at 7:00 PM at Patrick D. Cupp Stadium in Radford, Va. The tournament will run from Thursday, November 4th through Sunday, November 7th.
