Runnin' Bulldogs Remain in Mid-Major Top-25 Poll

Boiling Springs, N.C. - For the sixth straight week, including the preseason poll, the Gardner-Webb women's basketball team is ranked in the Collegeinsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top-25.
This week, the Runnin' Bulldogs came in at No. 18, moving up one spot from last week's No. 19 position.
The Runnin' Bulldogs were ranked as high as No. 14 back in week two on November 23rd.
Gardner-Webb (6-3) is on a four-game winning streak after holding off the North Carolina Central Lady Eagles last night for a 62-54 home win.
Gardner-Webb is the lone Big South team in the poll this week and are three spots behind Southern Conference foe Appalachian State (6-2) who defeated the Runnin' Bulldogs earlier this season. Green Bay (8-0) remains at the top of the poll, receiving 30 out of 31 first-place votes.
The women's Mid-Major Top 25 is comprised of teams from the America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt and West Coast Conference.
Gardner-Webb will remain at home to face Converse College, with the tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 16th, in Paul Porter Arena.
