Highlanders Get Best of Lady Bulldogs In Women's Tennis Action Sunday Afternoon

BOILING SPRINGS, NC - Gardner-Webb hosted Big South Conference foe Radford in women's tennis action Sunday afternoon at the Webb Tennis Complex, and while the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead, taking the doubles point, the Highlanders were able to win four singles matches to earn a 4-3 victory.
In doubles play, the Lady Bulldogs (5-4, 0-2 BSC) took two of the three matches to earn the doubles point to take the early advantage.
Radford (6-3, 1-1 BSC) quickly reclaimed the advantage, taking the singles matches in the first four positions to seal the overall victory. Gardner-Webb picked up victories in the No. 5 and No. 6 positions from Ronia Hutterli and Tavenner Black.
The Lady Bulldogs will quickly be in action once again as they travel tomorrow afternoon to take on Erskine. The match is set to begin at 3:00 PM in Due West, SC.
