
Fighting Camels Get Best of Bulldogs Monday Afternoon in Men's Tennis Action

BUIES CREEK, NC - The Gardner-Webb men's tennis team fell to Campbell Monday afternoon by a 5-2 score at the Nisbet Tennis Center, located on Cambell's campus.
The Fighting Camels (11-3) swept through doubles play to take the early advantage.
In singles play, Evgeny Slesarev defeated Davy Sum (6-2, 6-4) at the No. 1 position to extend Slesarev's singles win streak to 10 consecutive matches. Andrew Veeder also picked up a win at the No. 2 position, defeating Larbi Lamzouri (4-6, 6-4, 6-2), yet the Bulldogs (4-9) dropped the four remaining singles matches to hand the overall victory to Campbell.
The Bulldogs will have a few days off before facing North Greenville and Pfeiffer in a doubleheader at home Saturday morning. The match against North Greenville is set to begin at 10:00 AM, with the match against Pfeiffer following at approximately 1:30 PM. All matches will take place at the Webb Tennis Complex, located on the Gardner-Webb campus.
