DUE WEST, SC - The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team defeated Erskine by a 5-2 score Monday afternoon.
Action began with doubles play, in which the Lady Bulldogs (6-4) swept all three matches to earn the doubles point.
In singles play, the Lady Bulldogs defeated the Flight (7-4) in four of the singles matches to earn the overall victory. Erica White and Ioana Oprea picked up victories in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots respectively, as well as Ronia Hutterli and Tavenner Black in the No. 5 and No.6 spots.
The Lady Bulldogs quickly turn around to face Charlotte Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM at the Phillips Tennis Complex in Charlotte, NC.
