
Lady Bulldogs Fall to Liberty, 4-3, in Women's Tennis Action Friday Afternoon

LYNCHBURG, VA - The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team fell to Big South Conference foe Liberty by a 4-3 score Friday afternoon at the LU Tennis Courts in Lynchburg, Va.
Action began with doubles play, where the Lady Bulldogs earned the doubles point with the team of Erica White and Kasey Ellis defeating the team of Jordan Jenkins and Carol Lobel (9-7 (3)) at the No. 1 position and winning the third match by default.
In singles play, Gardner-Webb picked up two victories, with Kasey Ellis defeating Fabiana Gouveia (6-3, 7-6 (4)) at the No. 4 position and by default at the No. 6 position, yet Liberty took the remaining singles matches to take the overall victory.
The Lady Bulldogs will next be in action Sunday afternoon as they travel to Clinton, SC to take on conference foe Presbyterian College. The match is set to begin at 1:00 PM.
